Since 2015, my research work has been focusing on understanding task-based conversations. Since mid 2018, I joined Apple Siri, first with the Cupertino team and now with the Cambridge team as a Senior Scientist. I hold a PhD degree from the University of Edinburgh. My short-term interest is on developing conversational solutions that are environment aware, fast in execution and privacy preserving. This is a challenging task that requires joint design efforts in semantic representations, learning algorithms, architectures and annotation tools. Check out our recent paper at EMNLP'20 on interpreting task-based conversations and my PhD thesis on interpreting task-based utterances.
